Myra Caridad García is a proud member of The Agency M2 Property Group, representing South Texas' Rio Grande Valley, including Hidalgo, Cameron, Willacy, and Starr Counties. With a strong focus on commercial retail, industrial assets, investment portfolios, and sale/leaseback arrangements, Myra brings a unique blend of strategic insight, cultural fluency, and genuine connection to every transaction.
With over three decades of experience in economic development and six years as a licensed Realtor®, Myra's career is grounded in trust, thoughtful communication, and a deep commitment to her clients' goals. Her early work as Vice President of Sales for industrial real estate developers in Mexico exposed her to high-stakes negotiations across multinational, bilingual, and bicultural settings-skills she continues to use to unravel complex transactions and align diverse stakeholders.
"My passion is twofold," Myra shares. "On the residential side, I'm honored to walk with families through meaningful life transitions-each with its own story, hope, and prayer. On the commercial side, I thrive on the intensity of the deals and the privilege of contributing to my clients' long-term success."
Originally from Miami, Florida, and the daughter of Cuban immigrants, Myra is a first-generation American who proudly calls the Rio Grande Valley home. She holds a degree in Business Management and a minor in Psychology from the University of Texas-Pan American. Her career began in 1988, when she joined the newly formed McAllen Economic Development Corporation, whose mission was to attract foreign direct investment and help create stable, family-sustaining jobs in one of the most economically challenged regions of the country, then facing over 20% unemployment. Myra continued her work in economic development on both sides of the U.S./Mexico border, weaving business deals of lasting consequence to the region.
Her breadth of experience spans industrial, land development, QSR sale-leaseback portfolios, multi-family investments, and the strategic use of New Market Tax Credits. She takes pride not only in her work ethic but in the enduring relationships she builds along the way. Recognized as the SBA's Small Business Advocate of the Year and Executive Woman of the Year, Myra's accolades reflect both her professional impact and her dedication to service.
A certified mediator, she is known for her ability to distill complex conversations into their core elements, navigating each negotiation with clarity, empathy, and purpose.
Outside of real estate, Myra finds joy in family, cooking, movies, fishing, red wine, and the magic of a good sunset. She is a proud supporter of Capable Kids, St. Jude Children's Hospital, the Miracle Network, Los Milagros Orphanage, and serves on the board of Amara Hospice. A fun detail: she and her husband were married in Positano, Italy, and together they share five children and four grandchildren.
